Izglītības ģeogrāfija Saldus novadā: bērnu un jauniešu izvietojuma iezīmes

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Izglītības ģeogrāfija Saldus novadā: bērnu un jauniešu izvietojuma iezīmes” tiek analizētas pārmaiņas bērnu un jauniešu izvietojumā Saldus novada pagastos un ciemos. Bērnu un jauniešu izvietojumam raksturīga augsta koncentrācija novada centrālajā daļā, īpaši izglītības iestāžu tiešā tuvumā. Visos novada ciemos un pagastos jauniešu vecumā līdz 24 gadiem vidū dominē skolas vecuma bērni vecumā no 7 līdz 17 gadiem. Izvietojuma izmaiņās būtisks faktors ir iedzīvotāju sastāva novecošanās un depopulācija. Viskrasākās atšķirības novadā redzamas Vadakstes pagastā, Blīdenes pagastā, Nīgrandes pagastā un citos Saldus novada perifērijā esošajos pagastos. Darbā apskatīta pieejamā literatūra par dažādiem demogrāfiju raksturojošiem procesiem – depopulāciju, iedzīvotāju novecošanos un demogrāfiskās pārejas teoriju. Tiek aplūkots arī Saldus novada vispārējs raksturojums un iedzīvotāju sastāva un skaita izmaiņas. Pētnieciskajā daļā tika veikta publiski pieejamo un pēc LU ĢZZF Cilvēku ģeogrāfijas katedras pieprasījuma izveidoto LR CSP statistikas datu analīze un kartogrāfiska atainošana. Datu apstrāde tika veikta Microsoft Excel, ArcGIS ArcMap 10.8. vidē un brīvpieejas programmatūrā Geo-Segregation Analyzer. Pētījuma rezultāti parāda, ka bērnu un jauniešu skaits samazinās, un būtiskas izmaiņas redzamas pagastos un ciemos novada perifērijā.

Bachelor thesis “Geographies of education in Saldus municipality: residential patterns of children and youth” examines the population change and residential patterns of children and young adults in Saldus municipalities and villages. The distribution of children and young adults is characterised by high concentration in the central part of the municipality, particularly in the close proximity of educational establishments. In all villages and parishes of the municipality, school-age children aged 7-17 dominate among young adults under 24. Ageing and depopulation have been recognised as essential factors in the changes of population distribution. The most evident differences in the municipality are seen in Vadakstes parish, Blīdene parish, Nīgrandes parish and other territorial units on the periphery of Saldus municipality. The thesis overviews the available literature on demographic change and demographic transition theory and examines the changes in population composition within the Saldus municipality. The research contains an analysis and mapping of statistical data, both - the publicly available data sets and data provided by the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia, based on mutual agreement with the University of Latvia, the Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences. Data processing was performed in Microsoft Excel, ArcGIS ArcMap at 10.8 and the Geo-Segregation Analyser open-source software. The study results show that the number of children and young adults is declining, and significant changes in the share of the age groups are seen directly in the peripheral parishes and villages of the municipality.
