Dabisko zālāju skaits Latvijā ir neliels, tāpēc nepieciešams tos aizsargāt un atjaunot. LIFE programmas projekta GrassLIFE: Zālāju atjaunošana un to dažādas izmantošanas veicināšana (LIFE16NAT/LV/000262, 2017–2023) ietvaros tiek veikti zālāju ekoloģiskās atjaunošanas un uzturēšanas darbi, kuru rezultāti tiek noteikti veicot veģetācijas monitoringu. Dažādu zālāju ekoloģiskās atjaunošanas metožu efektivitātes novērtējums ir svarīgs, lai dažādās teritorijās būtu iespējams noteikt potenciāli visizdevīgāko ekoloģiskās atjaunošanas metodi. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir novērtēt dažādu dabisko zālāju ekoloģiskās atjaunošanas metožu efektivitāti 2 - 3 gadu laikā pēc atjaunošanas. Darbā dots ieskats vispārējās dabisko zālāju ekoloģiskās atjaunošanas metodēs un monitoringa metodēs, kas tiek izmantotas sekmju novērtēšanā un aprakstītas tieši GrassLIFE projektā veiktās veģetācijas atjaunošanas un monitoringa metodes. Bakalaura darba dati, kas nepieciešami zālāju ekoloģiskās atjaunošanas metožu novērtēšanai, tiek iegūti no GrassLIFE projekta saimniecībās veiktā monitoringa 2018.-2021. gadā. The number of natural grasslands in Latvia is small, so it is necessary to protect and restore them. Within the framework of the LIFE program "Project GrassLIFE: Restoring EU priority grasslands and promoting their multiple use" (LIFE16NAT / LV / 000262, 2017–2023), ecological restoration and maintenance of grasslands is carried out, the results of which are determined by vegetation monitoring. It is important to evaluate the effectiveness of various grassland ecological restoration methods so it would be possible to potentionally determine the most effective method for different restoration sites. The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to evaluate the effectivity of various ecological restoration methods 2-3 years after restoration. The paper provides an insight into the different approaches of ecological restoration methods and vegetation monitoring methods of natural grasslands, which are used to assess success and describe the vegetation changes performed in the GrassLIFE project. The data of the bachelor's thesis, which are necessary for the evaluation of the restoration quality, will be obtained from the monitoring performed on the farms of the GrassLIFE project.
