The work of pharmacists is very hard, both physically and emotionally. A constantly ringing phone, consulting patients, monotonous work with prescription and over-the-counter medications, heavy physical activity on the back and legs, long hours spent at the computer screen with inadequate lighting, can leave negative mental and physical consequences for pharmacists and pharmaceutical workers. Uncertainty about the continuation of work, a large workload, a small number of employees and the inability to update and improve professional competence are important stressors affecting the health of pharmaceutical employees. The aim of this work was to analyze the physical and psycho-emotional burden on pharmacists and to develop health promotion measures. The study analyzed scientific literature and conducted a survey of pharmacists / pharmacist assistants. The results of the work show that, in general, pharmacists and pharmacy assistants are physically overwhelmed by daily work, as well as the psycho-emotional load is very high among pharmacy staff.
