The topic of the bachelor's thesis is "Cooperation of traumatology patients and nurses in the hospital" The topic of the thesis is topical, because the cooperation of nurses and patients is very important for improving the quality of patient care. The aim of the study is to find out the cooperation between traumatology patients and nurses in the hospital. To achieve the goal of the bachelor's thesis, the author set the following tasks - to compile and analyze the literature on patient care, communication, education and cooperation, to analyze Dorothea Orem's theory in connection with the bachelor's thesis, to develop a research tool - interview and interview, to summarize the results of the study, draw a conclusion. In order to conduct the research, the author raised the question of the research - what is the cooperation of traumatology patients and nurses in the hospital? The type of research is - qualitative research. Research tool - interview. The results of this study are presented in the form of content analysis. Based on the results, it can be concluded that traumatology, as a medical field, is generally severe in patient care, as there are many severe sleeping patients in the postoperative period and with pain. Patients of different ages with different co-diagnoses as well as bedsores. When nurses work with such patients, they face psychological stress due to the large number of patients and the large amount of responsibilities involved in caring for each patient. Nurses do not always evaluate their care results positively, it is influenced by the patient's equality, the patient's current state of health, basic diagnoses and side diagnoses, the patient's mental condition, the patient's willingness to cooperate with the nurse in the care process. The responses of the interviewees show that the main reasons for poor quality cooperation with patients are insufficient time for their care, a large number of patients, lack of patient equality, the patient's emotional state and patients' unwillingness to cooperate. Nurses use more verbal communication, as well as verbal and non-verbal communication, on a daily basis, as the type of communication to be used depends on the patient and the situation in which the medical staff and the patient are. Summarizing the results of the study, it can be concluded that patient motivation, nursing equality in the care process, education of patients and their relatives, and nursing empathy influence patients' recovery processes, which in turn is an indicator of the quality of care in the hospital.
