Informācijas pārslodze mēdz būt definēta kā stāvoklis, kad cilvēkam prezentēto datu un informācijas apjoms ir tik liels, ka cilvēks vairs nespēj efektīvi pievērst uzmanību un apstrādāt dotos datus. Šī darba ietvaros tiek izpētīta un aprakstīta informācijas pārslodzes definīcija, tiek apskatīti, aprakstīti un izvērtēti dažādi eksistējoši rīki šīs problēmas risināšanai, kā arī tiek teorētiski aprakstīts rīks liekās informācijas dzēšanai. Tiek arī detalizēti aprakstīts izveidotā rīka prototips. Darba rezultātā tika veiksmīgi izveidots Google Chrome pārlūka JavaScript un jQuery spraudnis ar nosaukumu “Targeted Reader”, kurš ļauj lietotājam izvēlēties tieši tos vietnes elementus, kurus lietotājs vēlas redzēt, kā arī tiek pārbaudīta šī izveidotā prototipa efektivitāte. Information overload is often defined as a state, where the amount of data and information presented to a person is so large that the person is no longer able to pay attention and process the given data effectively. This work investigates and describes the definition of information overload, various existing tools for solving this problem are reviewed, described and evaluated, and a tool to delete unnecessary information is being theoretically described. A prototype of the described theoretical tool is also developed and described in detail. This work also resulted in the successful development of a Google Chrome JavaScript and jQuery plugin, called "Targeted Reader", which allows the user to select exactly the contents of the site that the user wants to see, and tests the effectiveness of this prototype.
