The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the demand and offer of library events for children from birth to two years of age. The aim of the work is to find out the demand for events in libraries for families with children from birth to two years of age, as well as the offer of libraries. The bachelor's thesis is based on Erik Erikson's theory of psychosocial development and empiricism. To achieve this goal, a survey of parents with children under the age of two, a content analysis of the United States library websites, an analysis of the annual reports of Latvian libraries, and an electronic interview of three library staff were conducted. The results of the questionnaires provide an insight that the majority of respondents would attend events specifically for children under two years of age. The United States has been working hard for several years to develop library activities for this age group. On the other hand, the interviews reveal that Latvian library staff are cautious with such an audience, aware of the peculiarities of the age group and not sure about their competence to work with children under the age of two, which is also revealed by the interviews.
