Transnacionālo teroristisko organizāciju izmantotā vardarbība Kašmīras konfliktā - iemesli un ietekme

Abstract

Indijas un Pakistānas konflikts par Kašmīru ilgst jau vairāk nekā septiņdesmit gadu, taču joprojām tas nav atrisināts. Tēma ir aktuāla, jo Pakistāna, atbalstot Kašmīras musulmaņus un ideju par “Islāma valsts” izveidi Kašmīrā, veicina transnacionālā terorisma izplatību Kašmīrā un musulmaņu ietekmi ārpus tās robežām. Kašmīras hinduistu masveida migrācija 1990. gadā, Kargilas karš 1999. gadā, uzbrukums Uri 2016. gadā un uzbrukums Pulvamas rajonā 2019. gadā ir tikai daži piemēri, kā transnacionālā terorisma izplatība Kašmīrā ir ietekmējusi konflikta virzību un abu valstu attiecības. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tiks aplūkotas teorijas par terorismu, politisko vardarbību un teroristisko organizāciju stratēģijām. Darbā tiek izvirzītas divas hipotēzes: 1) reliģiskā piederība ir iemesls, kāpēc Kašmīrā aktīvās transnacionālās teroristiskās organizācijas izmanto vardarbību un 2) transnacionālo teroristisko organizāciju biedru, resursu un sadarbības partneru skaits nosaka organizāciju spēju ietekmēt Indijas un Pakistānas konfliktu par Kašmīru. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, tiek analizēta teroristisko organizāciju darbība kopš to dibināšanas. Darbā tika izmantotas kvantitatīvās un kvalitatīvās pētījumu metodes. Darba noslēgumā abas hipotēzes tiek apstiprinās.

The India-Pakistan conflict over Kashmir has been going on for more than 70 years, but it is still unresolved. The topic is relevant because Pakistan, by supporting the Muslims of Kashmir and the idea of an Islamic state in Kashmir, is contributing to the spread of transnational terrorism in Kashmir and the influence of Muslims outside its borders. The mass migration of Hindu Kashmiris in 1990, the Kargil war in 1999, the Uri attack in 2016 and the Pulvam district attack in 2019 are just a few examples of how the spread of transnational terrorism in Kashmir has affected the conflict and relations between the two countries. The theories of terrorism, political violence and strategies of terrorist organizations will be discussed within the bachelor's thesis. Two hypotheses are put forward: 1) religious affiliation is the reason for the use of violence by transnational terrorist organizations active in Kashmir, and 2) the number of members, resources and partners of transnational terrorist organizations determines their ability to influence the India-Pakistan conflict over Kashmir. In order to achieve the goal of the work, the activities of terrorist organizations since their establishment are analyzed. Quantitative and qualitative research methods were used in the work. At the end of the work both hypotheses are confirmed.
