Lielbritānijas un Eiropas Savienības savstarpēji atkarīgo attiecību pārvaldīšana Brexit kontekstā

Abstract

Darba tēma ir Lielbritānijas un Eiropas Savienības savstarpēji atkarīgo attiecību pārvaldīšana Brexit kontekstā, jo Lielbritānija pirmo reizi ES vēsturē izstājas no tās. Tāpēc pētījuma mērķis ir, pamatojoties uz savstarpējās atkarības un globalizācijas teorētiskajām atziņām, noskaidrot, kā ir mainījušās Lielbritānijas un ES savstarpēji atkarīgās attiecības, pievēršot uzmanību pirms un pēc Brexit izmaiņām, un kādas intereses, pozīcijas u.c. faktori ietekmē attiecību pārvaldīšanu. Gadījuma jeb notikuma izpēti palīdz skaidrot tādi savstarpējās atkarības jēdzieni kā jūtīgums, neaizsargātība, jo neaizsargātība ir atbildīga par jaunām izmaiņām politikā un to pozitīvo vai negatīvo ietekmi, lai samazinātu jūtīgumu. Pozitīvo vai negatīvo ietekmi šajā gadījumā ļauj novērtēt sarunu process, kur abas puses norāda vērtības, vēlmes, preferences utt. Rezultātā Brexit kontekstā Lielbritānijas un ES savstarpēji atkarīgās attiecības ir kļuvušas neaizsargātākas politiski-ekonomisko izmaiņu dēļ.

The theme of the master’s thesis is the United Kingdom’s and the European Union interdependent relationship management in the context of Brexit, because for the first time in history, the United Kingdom, an EU member state since 1973, has withdrawn from the EU. Therefore, the aim is to find out, based on the theoretical findings of interdependence and globalization, how the interdependence between the United Kingdom and the EU has changed, focusing on the changes before and after Brexit, and what interests, positions, etc. factors affect relationship management. To explain this case study, such concepts of interdependence has been used as sensitivity and vulnerability, because vulnerability is responsible for new policy changes and their positive or negative effects to reduce sensitivity. The positive or negative effects in this case can be determined through a negotiation process where both sides indicate values, desires, preferences, etc. As a result, in the context of Brexit, the interdependent relationship between the United Kingdom and the EU has become more vulnerable due to political and economic changes.
