Maģistra darba „Turcijas militārās varas efektivitātes cēloņi” mērķis ir izpētīt faktorus, kas kalpo par pamatu Turcijas Republikas militārās varas veiksmīgai darbībai un attīstībai. Kā pamatmetode darbā tiek izmantota Turcijas gadījuma analīze. Darba mērķa sasniegšanai darbā izstrādāta teorētiskā un empīriskā daļa.Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek apskatīts militārās varas jēdziens, tās funkcijas, efektivitātes rakstura lielumi, efektivitātes cēloņi un militārās aktivitātes, kas saistās ar šiem cēloņiem. Darba empīriskajā daļā tiek veikta Turcijas gadījumu analīze. Balstoties uz teorētiskajiem apsvērumiem, no darba pirmās daļas, tiek analizēt vairāki Turcijas militārās efektivitātes cēloņi. Papildus tam skrupulozi tiek analizēts viens no Turcijas militārās varas apakšelementiem, lai ilustrētu militārās efektivitātes ķēdi. Darba noslēgumā tiek izdarīti secinājumi par Turcijas militārās efektivitātes cēloņiem, piemēram, militārisma lielo lomu sabiedrībā, armijas iesaisti iekšpolitikā, dalību NATO aliansē un militārās industrijas sasniegumiem. Papildus tiek identificētas atziņās, kas varētu noderēt arī Latvijas militārās efektivitātes uzlabošanā. The aim of the master's thesis "Causes for the effectiveness of Turkish military power" is to study the factors that serve as the basis for the successful operation and development of the military power of the Republic of Turkey. The case study of Turkey is used as the basic method in the work. In order to achieve the goal of the work, the theoretical and empirical part has been developed. The theoretical part of the dissertation deals with the concept of military power, its functions, the nature of efficiency, the causes of efficiency and the military activities related to these causes. The empirical part of the work analyzes the cases of Turkey. Based on theoretical considerations, the first part of the paper analyzes several reasons for Turkey's military effectiveness. In addition, one of the sub-elements of Turkish military power is scrupulously analyzed to illustrate the chain of military efficiency. The paper concludes on the causes of Turkey's military effectiveness, such as the important role of militarism in society, the involvement of the army in domestic politics, membership in the NATO alliance, and the achievements of the military industry. In addition, findings are identified that could also be useful in improving Latvia's military efficiency.
