2021. gada Tokijas Paralimpisko un Olimpisko spēļu reprezentāciju salīdzinājums ziņu portālos “Lsm.lv” un “Delfi.lv”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “2021. Gada Tokijas paralimpisko un olimpisko spēļu reprezentāciju salīdzinājums ziņu portālos “Lsm.lv” un “Delfi.lv”. Darba mērķis ir izvērtēt, kāda ir Olimpisko un Paralimpisko spēļu reprezentācija Latvijas interneta ziņu portālos, analizēt, vai starp šīm reprezentācijām pastāv atšķirības, ja tā, izpētīt, kādas tās ir. Darba teorētisko daļu veido secinājumi par sporta notikumu reprezentāciju, mediju notikumu teorija, pētījumi par Paralimpisko spēļu reprezentācijas trūkumu un to, kādu nozīmi tas rada iekļaujošas sabiedrības veidošanā, kā arī teorija par vienu no sportistu ar invaliditāti reprezentācijas modeļiem “superinvalīds”. Darba metodoloģijā izmantota kvantitatīvā un kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze, empīriskajā daļā apkopoti un analizēti pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti, izdarīti secinājumi. Pētījumā secināts, ka, starp Olimpisko un Paralimpisko spēļu reprezentācijām novērojamas lielas atšķirības gan apjoma, gan satura ziņā. Olimpisko spēļu reprezentācija ir izsmeļoša, ļoti plaša un vienlaikus detalizēta, kamēr analizētās publikācijas par Paralimpiskajām spēlēm nesniedz plašu ieskatu par šo sporta notikumu un sportistu ar invaliditāti sasniegumiem.

The theme of the bachelor's thesis is “Comparison of 2021 Tokyo Paralympic and Olympic Games representations on news portals “Lsm.lv” and “Delfi.lv”. The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the representations of the Olympic and Paralympic games made by the news portals and to find out whether there are any differences between these representations. The theoretical part includes conclusions about representation of sports events, media event theory, studies on lack of representation of the Paralympic Games and the role it plays in building an inclusive society, and also theory about the "supercrip" representation format. The methods used in this work are quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The empirical part includes results and conclusions. The study concludes that there are large differences between the representations of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in terms of both – amount and content. The representation of the Olympic Games is exhaustive, very broad and at the same time detailed, while the analyzed publications on the Paralympic Games do not provide a comprehensive overview of the sporting events and the achievements of athletes with disabilities.
