Pašnāvību atspoguļojums un atbildīga ziņošana par tām Latvijas interneta ziņu portālos

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā analizēts pašnāvību atspoguļojums un atbildīga ziņošana par pašnāvībām Latvijas interneta ziņu portālos “delfi.lv”, “tvnet.lv”, “jauns.lv”, “lsm.lv” un “la.lv” laika posmā no 2018. gada līdz 2021. gadam. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt un analizēt interneta ziņu portālu “delfi.lv”, “tvnet.lv”, “jauns.lv”, “lsm.lv” un “la.lv” publikāciju saturu laika posmā no 2018. gada līdz 2021. gadam, noskaidrojot, kā tajā atspoguļotas pašnāvības un vai publikācijās ievēroti atbildīgas ziņošanas par pašnāvībām principi. Galvenie darbā izmantotie teorētiskie ietvari ir Emīla Dirkema “Pašnāvība”, simboliskais interakcionisms un Ērvinga Gofmaņa rāmējuma teorija, kā arī Vertera un Papageno efekta, pētījumu par atbildīgu mediju ziņošanu par pašnāvībām un atbildīgas ziņošanas par pašnāvībām principu apraksts. Pētījumā pielietota kvantitatīvā kontentanalīze. Tika atlasīta 221 publikācija. Publikācijas visbiežāk bija par dzīvesstāstu, kas saistīts ar pašnāvību. Rakstos par konkrētu pašnāvības gadījumu visvairāk ziņots par slavenību pašnāvībām, un tajos nav ievērota atbildīga ziņošana par pašnāvībām - klātesošs bija vismaz viens pārkāpums. Izplatītākais pārkāpums bija tas, ka nav norādīta informācija, kur un/vai kā meklēt palīdzību.

Bachelor work is devoted to the analysis of the coverage and responsible reporting of suicides in Latvian internet news portals “delfi.lv”, “tvnet.lv”, “jauns.lv”, “lsm.lv” and “la.lv” in the period from 2018 until 2021. The aim of the paper is to study and analyze the content of publications about suicides in internet news portals “delfi.lv”, “tvnet.lv”, “jauns.lv”, “lsm.lv” and “la.lv” in the period from 2018 until 2021, analyzing how suicides are covered and assessing whether publications comply with the principles of responsible reporting of suicide. The main theoretical frameworks are Emile Durkheim’s “Suicide”, symbolic interactionism, and Erving Goffman’s framing theory, as well as the description of the Werther effect and the Papageno effect, research on responsible media reporting of suicide and the principles of responsible reporting of suicide. Quantitative content analysis was used in the study. 221 publications were identified. The publications were most often about suicide-related life stories. In articles about a specific suicide, celebrity suicides were the most reported. All articles about a specific suicide case failed to comply with at least one of the guidelines for the responsible reporting of suicide. Failure to mention information about where and / or how to seek help was the most breached guideline.
