Empātijas saistība ar sociālo trauksmi jauniešiem

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai pastāv saistība starp empātiju un sociālo trauksmi jauniešiem. Izvirzītā hipotēze paredzēja, ka sociālās trauksmes rādītāji būs pozitīvi saistīti ar afektīvās empātijas rādītājiem. Pētījuma izlasi veidoja 101 dalībnieks, no kuriem 71 bija sieviete (70,3%) un 30 bija vīrieši (29,7%) vecuma grupā no 18 līdz 25. Pētījumā tika izmantotas divas aptaujas – Empātijas skala (Basic Empathy Scale (BES), Jolliffe, Farrington, 2006) un Sociālās trauksmes aptauja (SIAS Social Interaction Anxiety Scale, Mattick & Clarke, 1989). Pētījumā izvirzītā hipotēze neapstiprinājās, jo ar sociālo trauksmi netika novērota saistība nevienā no empātijas veidiem. Tika pārbaudītas arī dzimumatšķirības šajās skalās, un tika novērotas statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības visās skalās, un sieviešu rādītāji tajās bija augstāki nekā vīriešu grupā. The aim of this study was to find out if there is a relationship between empathy and social anxiety in young adults. The hypothesis was that social anxiety will be related to affective empathy. The sample of the study consisted of 101 participants, of whom 71 were women (70.3%) and 30 were men (29.7%) in the age group of 18 to 25. Two questionnaires were used in the study: the Basic Empathy Scale ((BES); Jolliffe & Farrington, 2006) and the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS, Mattick & Clarke, 1989). The hypothesis put forward in the study was not confirmed because no association with social anxiety was observed in either of the empathy scales. Gender differences on these scales were also examined, and statistically significant differences were observed on all scales, with higher scores for women than for men.
