Skolotāju emocionālās izdegšanas sakarības ar psiholoģisko distancēšanos no darba un pašnovērtēto veselību Covid-19 pandēmijas apstākļos

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot skolotāju emocionālās izdegšanas savstarpējās sakarības starp psiholoģisko distancēšanos no darba, pašnovērtēto veselību un emocionālo izdegšanu COVID-19 pandēmijas apstākļos, kad darbs notika gan klātienē, gan attālināti. Pētījumā piedalījās 506 skolotāji no Latvijas vispārizglītojošajām un profesionālajām izglītības iestādēm, lielākā daļa vecumā no 21 līdz 64 gadiem. No visiem pētījuma dalībniekiem datu ievākšanas laikā 269 skolotāji strādāja pamatā klātienē, 237 gan klātienē, gan attālināti un pamatā attālināti. Pētījuma dati ievākti no 2021.gada oktobra līdz decembrim, kad Latvijā COVID-19 infekcijas izplatības ierobežošanas dēļ skolotāju darbs noritēja vai nu pamatā klātienē, vai gan klātienē, gan attālināti vai arī pamatā attālināti. Skolotāju emocionālās izdegšanas un pašnovērtētā veselības stāvokļa rādītāju noteikšanai pētījumā izmantotas Erasmus+ programmas projekta “Mācīt Būt: Atbalsts pedagogu profesionālajai izaugsmei un labklājībai sociāli emocionālās mācīšanās jomā” izstrādātās Skolotāju profesionālās pašefektivitātes aptaujas Skolotāju izdegšanas un Skolotāju pašnovērtētās veselības skalas. Psiholoģiskās distancēšanās no darba rādītāju noteikšanai izmantota Psiholoģiskās distancēšanās no darba skala (Psychological detachment from work, Sonnentag & Fritz, 2007; aptaujas adaptāciju veikusi L.Berga maģistra darba ietvaros, 2016), papildu tika ievākti skolotāju demogrāfijas dati. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka pastāv statistiski nozīmīga saistība starp skolotāju emocionālās izdegšanas, psiholoģiskās distancēšanās no darba un pašnovērtētā veselības stāvokļa rādītājiem. Skolotāju spēja psiholoģiski distancēties no darba samazina emocionālo izdegšanu un skolotājiem ar augstāku emocionālo izdegšanu ir zemāki pašnovērtētā veselības stāvokļa rādītāji. Secināts, ka skolotāju emocionālo izdegšanu statistiski nozīmīgi prognozē tādi faktori kā skolotāju pašnovērtētā veselība un psiholoģiskā distancēšanās no darba, mācību organizēšanas forma un darba slodze. Pētījumā konstatēts, ka skolotājiem, kuri pamatā ir strādājuši klātienē, ir augstāki emocionālās izdegšanas rādītāji, nekā tiem, kuru darbs noritējis attālināti vai gan klātienē, gan attālinātā veidā. Pētījuma secinājumi apstiprina, ka skolotāju darba dzīvē ir svarīgi pievērst uzmanību skolotāju mentālās veselības jautājumiem, radot tādus skolotāju darba apstākļus, kuros ir iespējama psiholoģiskā distancēšanās no darba. The aim of the current research is to investigate the relationship between teachers’ emotional burnout, psychological detachment from work and self-reported health during the pandemic, involving teachers working both face to face and remotely. In the research participated 506 teachers from Latvian general education and vocational education institutions, with the majority being between the ages of 21−64 years. From all research participants during data collection 269 teachers were working mainly face to face, whereas 237 both face to face and remotely or mainly remotely. Data was collected from October 2021 until December 2021 during a different restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic when the teachers' work took place either mainly face to face or both face to face and remotely or mainly remotely. In order to determine the indicators of teachers' emotional burnout and self-reported health, there was used Teachers’ self-assessed burnout and teachers’ self-perceived health scale, originally designed from Erasmus+ project “Teaching to Be: Supporting Teachers’ Professional Growth and Wellbeing in the Field of Social and Emotional Learning”. The Psychological detachment from work scale was used to determine the indicators of psychological distance from work (Psychological detachment from work, Sonnentag & Fritz, 2007; the adaptation of the survey was performed within the framework of L. Berg's master's thesis, 2016), additional teacher demographic data were collected. The results of the research show that there is a statistically significant relationship between teachers' indicators of emotional burnout, psychological detachment from work and self-reported health status. Teachers' ability to detach themselves psychologically from work reduces emotional burnout, and teachers with higher emotional burnout have lower self-reported health scores. It is concluded that the emotional burnout of teachers is statistically significantly predicted by such factors as teachers' self-reported health and psychological detachment from work, the form of organization of studies and workload. The study found that teachers who mainly worked face-to-face had higher rates of emotional burnout than those who worked remotely or both face to face and remotely. The findings of the study confirm that it is important to pay attention to the mental health of teachers in the working life of teachers, creating working conditions for teachers in which psychological detachment from work is possible.
