Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot dzimtas vēstures zināšanu saistību ar identitātes stilu un dzīvesspēku 16-19 gadus veciem pusaudžiem. Pētījumā piedalījās 110 pusaudži (75% sievietes un 25% vīrieši) vecumā no 16-19 gadiem (M=17,62; SD=1,23). Pētījumā tika izmantotas Vai Tu zini aptauja (Do You know, DYK - Duke, Lazarus, Fivush, 2008), Identitātes stilu aptauja (Identity Style Inventory, ISI3 - Berzonsky, 1992) un Dzīvesspēka aptauja pieaugušajiem (Resilience Scale of Adults, RS - Friborg, et al, 2005). The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between family history knowledge and the identity style and resilience of 16-19 year old adolescents. Participating in the study were 110 adolescents (75% female and 25% male), ages 16-19 year (M=17,62; SD=1,23). They completed Do You Know scale (DYK - Duke, Lazarus & Fivush, 2008), the Identity Style Inventory (ISI3 - Berzonsky, 1992) and the Resilience Scale of Adults (RS - Friborg, et al, 2005). The results showed that there is a significant positive association between knowledge of family history and informational and normative identity style and resilience and significant negative association with diffuse-avoidant identyty style. Knowledge of family history predicts identity style and resilience, with the exception of the social resource factor. Relationships with the mother predict resilience factors of self-perception, family cohesion and social resources, while relationships with the mother-father predict the normative style of identity. The results of research show – internal resource factors of resilience can be partly considered as mediator between knowledge of family history and informative identity style.
