Problemātiska pornogrāfijas patēriņa saistība ar trauksmi un depresiju pieaugušajiem

Abstract

Šī pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai problemātiskam pornogrāfijas patēriņam pastāv saistības ar trauksmes un depresijas simptomiem. Pētījuma izlasē iekļauti 888 pilngadību sasnieguši respondenti, kuri aizpildīja Problemātiska Pornogrāfijas Patēriņa Skalu un Depresijas, trauksmes un stresa skalas. Pētījuma rezultātā apstiprinājās iepriekšējo pētījumu atziņas, ka problemātisks pornogrāfijas patēriņš ir pozitīvi saistīts gan ar depresijas, gan trauksmes simptomiem, un depresijas simptomi prognozē problemātisku pornogrāfijas patēriņu. Tāpat tika noskaidrots, ka trauksmes simptomi, atšķirībā no iepriekšējiem pētījumiem, prognozē problemātisku pornogrāfijas patēriņu.

The aim of this study was to determine whether problematic pornography consumption is associated with anxiety and depressive symptoms. The study sample included 888 adult respondents who completed the Problematic Pornography Consumption Scale and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scales. The research confirmed findings of previous studies that problematic pornography consumption is positively associated with both depression and anxiety symptoms, and depressive symptoms predicted problematic pornography consumption. It was also found that anxiety symptoms, in contrast from previous studies, predicted problematic pornography consumption.
