Starptaustiskās tirdzniecības ietekme uz ekonomisko attīstību Šrilanka

Abstract

Šajā darbā tiek izvērtētas attiecības starp starptautisko tirdzniecību un ekonomisko izaugsmi Šrilankā. Apzinātā pētniecības problēma ir starptautiskās tirdzniecības attīstībai Šrilankā piešķirtās nozīmes trūkums. Autore izvirza hipotēzi, ka starptautiskajai tirdzniecībai ir būtiska ietekme uz IKP un nodarbinātību Šrilankā. Pētījuma mērķis ir kvantitatīvi nosakāmā veidā novērtēt attiecības. Rezultāti liecina par spēcīgu pozitīvu saistību starp eksportu un importu ar nodarbinātības līmeni Šrilankā. Turklāt pētījumā konstatēts, ka starptautiskās tirdzniecības pieaugums pozitīvi ietekmē ekonomisko izaugsmi, ko pierāda ārējās tirdzniecības reizinātājs. Tomēr tika konstatēts, ka attiecības starp starptautisko tirdzniecību ar IKP ir vājākas, iespējams, citu faktoru dēļ, kas tieši ietekmē IKP.

This thesis evaluates the relationship between international trade and economic growth in Sri Lanka. The research problem identified is the lack of importance given to developing international trade in Sri Lanka. The author hypothesizes that international trade has a significant effect on GDP and employment in Sri Lanka. The goal of the research is to evaluate the relationship in a quantifiable manner. The results indicate a strong positive relationship between both exports and imports with employment rates in Sri Lanka. Additionally, the study finds that an increase in international trade positively affects economic growth, as demonstrated by the foreign trade multiplier. However, the relationship between international trade with GDP was found to be weaker, likely due to other factors that directly affect GDP. Overall, the thesis provides insights into the relationship between international trade and economic growth, with implications for policymakers in Sri Lanka.
