Ilgtspējas loma banku konkurētspējas paaugstināšanas aspektā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba temats ir “Ilgtspējas loma banku konkurētspējas paaugstināšanas aspektā” un tas izstrādāts ar mērķi, lai, balstoties uz konkurētspējas literatūru, novērtētu vai ilgtspējības integrēšana banku darbības stratēģijā palielina to konkurētspēju. Bakalaura darba pirmajā daļā tiek apskatīta konkurētspējas un ilgtspējības teorētiskie apskati. Otrajā daļā apskatīta ilgtspējas loma finanšu institūciju, konkrētāk – banku darbībā. Darba empīriskajā daļā veikts pētījums ar kvantitatīvo metodi – anketēšanu ar nolūku analizēt Baltijas banku klientu tendences, izvēloties banku, kā arī kvalitatīvo metodi – intervijām ar banku ESG speciālistiem, lai analizētu banku nostāju ilgtspējas jautājumā. Darba nobeigumā tiek veikti secinājumi un izstrādāti priekšlikumi, lai labāk integrētu ilgtspēju banku biznesa stratēģijā. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no ievada, trīs nodaļām, secinājumiem un priekšlikumiem. Bakalaura darba kopējais apjoms ir 87 lappusēm. Darba izstrādē izmantoti 68 avoti, 30 attēli, 6 tabulas, 2 pielikumi.

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is "The role of sustainability as an aspect of increasing the competitiveness of banks" and it was developed with the aim of evaluating whether the integration of sustainability in the banking strategy increases competitiveness of banks, based on the competitiveness literature. The first part of the bachelor's thesis examines the theoretical reviews of competitiveness and sustainability. The second part examines the role of sustainability in the operation of financial institutions, more specifically - banks. In the empirical part of the work, a study was carried out with the quantitative method - questionnaires with the aim of analysing the trends of the customers of Baltic banks regarding sustainability, as well as the qualitative method - interviews with bank ESG specialists to analyse the issue of the sustainability of the banks' positions. At the end of the work, conclusions are made, and proposals are developed to better integrate sustainability into the bank's business strategy. The bachelor thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusions, and proposals. The total volume of the bachelor's thesis is 87 pages, 68 sources, 30 images, 6 tables, 2 appendices were used in the development of the work.
