Iegūtie rezultāti palīdz izprast objektu detektoru apmācības efektivitāti uz dabiskiem un sintētiskiem attēliem, sniedzot ieskatu objektu noteikšanas algoritmu uzlabošanai datorredzes lietojumprogrammās Object recognition is one of the core tasks of the computer vision industry; it is an essential component in various applications such as autonomous driving technologies, video surveillance and robotics. The aim of this study is to compare object detector models, specifically YOLOv5, trained on natural and synthetic data (images). The CityScapes dataset was used as the source of the natural data, while the synthetic images were generated with the CARLA (Car Learning to Act) simulator. Models are evaluated and compared based on their performance metrics, including average accuracy (mAP). In addition, the explainable artificial intelligence SHAP method was used to interpret the decision-making process of the models and evaluate the contribution of different image features to object recognition. The obtained results help to understand the effectiveness of training object detectors on natural and synthetic images, providing insight into the improvement of object detection algorithms in computer vision applications.
