Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir “Kohēzijas fonda 2014-2020. gadu ietekme uz Baltijas reģiona labklājības izaugsmi un attīstību: Latvija, Lietuva, Igaunija, Polija”. Par pētījuma objektu ir izvēlētas Baltijas reģiona valstis: Latvija, Lietuva, Igaunija un Polija. Darba mērķis ir izvērtēt, kā 2014.-2020.gada periodā īstenotais ES Kohēzijas fonds, ietekmēja Baltijas reģiona valstu labklājības izaugsmi un attīstību. Darba izstrādē izmantotas pētījuma metodes: monogrāfiskā metode (aprakstošā metode), statistisko pētījumu metode, salīdzināšana un empīriskā pētījuma metode, veicot intervijas ar ekspertiem, kas ir atbildīgi par Kohēzijas fonda programmas ieviešanu un ekonomikas jautājumiem. Darbs sastāv no ievada, trīs nodaļām, secinājumiem, priekšlikumiem, literatūras un avotu saraksta. Darbs ietver 25 tabulas, 1 pielikumu un 76 izmantotās literatūras avotu. Pirmajā nodaļā ir apskatīti teorētiskie aspekti: labklājības un attīstības mērīšanas metodēs, reģionālās integrācijas potenciāla labklājības palielināšanā. Otrajā nodaļā analizēta Baltijas reģiona attīstība un labklājība no 2014. līdz 2020.gadam, izvērtēti rādītāji, apskatīti Kohēzijas fonda nosacījumi un resursi, kā arī pētīta tā ietekme uz ekonomiskajiem rādītājiem Latvijā, Lietuvā, Igaunijā un Polijā. Trešajā nodaļā ir aprakstīta pētījuma metodoloģija, sniegti korelācijas koeficientu rezultāti par saistību starp Kohēzijas fonda izdevumiem un rādītājiem, kā arī iekļautas ekspertu interviju interpretācijas. Noslēgumā ir apkopoti secinājumi par Kohēzijas fonda ietekmi uz Baltijas reģiona valstu labklājību un attīstību. Priekšlikumos sniegtas rekomendācijas Kohēzijas fonda ietekmes pastiprināšanai turpmākai labklājības un attīstības veicināšanai pētītajās valstīs.

The master thesis topic is “The Cohesion Fund’s 2014-2020 Impact to the Baltic Region Welfare Growth and Development: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland”. The research object comprises the Baltic Region countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate how the EU Cohesion Fund, implemented during the period of 2014-2020, impacted the welfare growth and development of the Baltic region countries. Research methods utilized in the study encompassed the monographic (descriptive) method, statistical research method, comparison, and empirical research method, including interviews with experts responsible for the implementation of the Cohesion Fund program and economic issues. The work comprises an introduction, three chapters, conclusions, proposals, literature, and a list of sources. It incorporates 25 tables, 1 appendix, and references to 76 sources of literature. The first chapter delves into theoretical aspects, encompassing methods for measuring well-being and development, as well as exploring the potential of regional integration to enhance well-being. The second chapter analyzes the development and well-being of the Baltic region from 2014 to 2020, evaluating indicators, examining the conditions and resources of the Cohesion Fund, and studying its impact on economic indicators in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Poland. The third chapter outlines the research methodology, presents correlation coefficient results on the relationship between Cohesion Fund expenditures and indicators, and includes interpretations of expert interviews. In conclusion, the impact of the Cohesion Fund on the prosperity and development of the Baltic region countries is summarized. Recommendations are provided in the proposals section to enchasing the Cohesion Fund’s impact and further promote prosperity and development in the examined countries.
