Abstract

Pasaule saskaras ar aizvien lielākām vides problēmām, ir kļuvusi acīmredzama steidzamā nepieciešamība pāriet uz zaļāku un resursu ziņā efektīvu sabiedrību. Šajā maģistra darbā tiek pētīts ekoinovāciju potenciāls virzīt šo pārveidi, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot Eiropai kā reģionam, kas pazīstams ar savu apņemšanos nodrošināt ilgtspējību. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt dinamiskās attiecības starp zaļo ekonomiku un ekoinovācijām, atklājot ilgtspējīgu tehnoloģiju, politiku un biznesa modeļu transformācijas potenciālu. Iedziļinoties šajā daudzpusīgajā jomā, darba mērķis ir izprast sarežģīto mijiedarbību starp ekonomiskajām, vides un sociālajām dimensijām, vienlaikus apzinot iespējas un risinot problēmas ekoinovāciju attīstībai. Pētījums atklāj, ka pieņemot un paplašinot ekoinovācijas, sabiedrība var sasniegt ilgtspējīgāku un noturīgāku nākotni, mazinot ietekmi uz vidi, uzlabojot resursu efektivitāti un veicinot ekonomisko labklājību, vienlaikus risinot sabiedrības vajadzības. Ekoinovācijas ir neatņemama sastāvdaļa pārejā uz zaļu un ilgtspējīgu ekonomiku, jo tās piedāvā ilgtspējīgas attīstības ceļus, kas līdzsvaro vides, sociālos un ekonomiskos apsvērumus.

As the world faces increasing environmental challenges, the urgent need to transition to a greener and resource-efficient society has become apparent. This study explores the potential of eco-innovation to drive this transformation, with a particular focus on Europe as a region known for its commitment to sustainability. The aim of the Master's thesis is to explore the dynamic relationship between the green economy and eco-innovation, revealing the transformative potential of sustainable technologies, policies and business models. Delving into this multifaceted field, the work aims to understand the complex interactions between economic, environmental and social dimensions, while identifying opportunities and addressing challenges for the development of eco-innovation. The study finds that by adopting and expanding eco-innovation, society can achieve a more sustainable and resilient future by reducing environmental impact, improving resource efficiency and promoting economic well-being while addressing societal needs. Eco-innovation is an integral part of the transition to a green and sustainable economy, as it offers sustainable development pathways that balance environmental, social and economic considerations.
