Radošo kvartālu iezīmes Rīgā: Aristīda pagalma piemērs

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Radošo kvartālu iezīmes rīgā: Aristīda pagalma piemērs” ir aplūkotas Rīgas radošo kvartālu telpiskās iezīmes. Darbā tiek apskatīta radošo kvartālu koncepta vēsture un attīstība Lielbritānijas un ASV pilsētu attīstības kontekstā un radošo kvartālu koncepcija. Pētījumā tiek izmantoti pilsētģeogrāfa Džona Montgomerija izstrādāti indikatori, lai analizētu radošos kvartālus Rīgā. Indikatori tika papildināti ar autora izstrādātiem kritērijiem, lai varētu identificēt indikatoru klātbūtni radošajā kvartālā. Indikatori tika pielietoti, lai analizētu vietas pētījuma teritoriju – radošo kvartālu Aristīda pagalms. Tika izstrādāts Rīgas radošo kvartālu saraksts balstoties uz sekundāriem avotiem un veikta to kartēšana. Tika identificētas to telpiskās struktūras balstoties uz kartogrāfiskajiem materiāliem un literatūras avotiem, un tie tika analizēti pēc atrašanās vietas pilsētā, pilsētvides mantojuma, uzbūves laika un aizņemtās telpas. Tika veiktas intervijas ar arhitektu un Rīgas domes pārstāvjiem, lai uzzinātu par radošo kvartālu veidošanos un iezīmēm Rīgā.

Bachelors thesis “Characteristics of creative quarters in Riga: case study of Aristida courtyard” reviews the spatial characteristics of creative quarters in Riga. The paper looks at the history and development of the creative quarter concept through the lens of city development in the USA and Great Britain, as well as the conception of the creative quarter idea. This paper uses criteria developed by urban geographer John Montgomery to analyze creative quarters in Riga. The indicators are supplemented by criteria, developed by the author, to identify the presence of Montgomery’s indicators in a creative quarter. The indicators and criteria were used to analyze the case study of Aristida courtyard (Aristīda pagalms). Based on secondary sources, a list of creative quarters in Riga was developed, and a map of the creative quarters was created. Based on cartographic materials and literature, the spatial structures of the creative quarter were identified, and they were analyzed their location in the city, their urban heritage, development period and occupied space. Interviews with city officials and a city architect were conducted to better understand the development and characteristics of creative quarters in the context of Riga.
