Diplomdarbs veltīts vardarbībai pret veselības aprūpes darbiniekiem Izraēlā laika posmā no 2017 līdz 2023. This thesis work examines trends in violence towards healthcare workers in Israel from 2017 to 2023. The study utilizes qualitative–quantitative content analysis of media articles to identify factors related to the victims of violence and to the perpetrators. Results suggest that the trends in violence statistics, as perceived by the media, are consistent with the existing literature. The study conclusions are that the media could be an important tool in addressing and eradicating the issue of violence towards healthcare workers and proposing revised recommendations for the prevention of violence in the healthcare system. The thesis work begins with a literature review that covers definitions of violence, workplace violence, and violence in the healthcare system. The review also explores the risk factors for violence in healthcare settings, the consequences of violence, the prevention measures taken by different countries and lastly, it will describe the Israeli situation. In total the work is 54 pages, three tables, six graphs and 4 appendices. For the writing of the work 63 references has been used.
