Material and methods: Collected data through a single anonymous web-based survey between August 2022 and January 2023 was used in this study, created by using Google Forms, and distributed through social media. The survey consisted of 40 simple questions and collected basic demographic data and respondents were asked to assess their alcohol, nicotine and prescribed medicine consumption behavior pre-, during, and post- COVID-19 Pandemic. A total of 1175 responses were gathered. The questionnaire was conducted anonymously. Ten hypotheses were formulated based on the literature review to evaluate the collected data. Results: The study analyzed the relationships between changes in alcohol and smoking usage, and prescribed medication use during the pandemic, and independent variables, using descriptive statistics and Chi-Square tests. Friedman's non-parametric tests were also used to interpret pair-related samples questions. The data was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 29 for Windows, and the results were visually presented using pie charts, frequencies, and cross-tabulations. Sub-hypotheses were investigated using Microsoft Excel to evaluate the cross-sectional data percentages. Conclusion: The study found that the pandemic had significant effects on various aspects of people's lives, including their mental health, occupation status, and relationship status. The study identified various factors that influenced changes in alcohol consumption during and after the pandemic. It became visible that for alcohol consumption there is a clear trend of a decrease during the COVID-19 Pandemic and an increase after the COVID-19 Pandemic. It was found a significant increase in anxiety levels and prescription medication dosage during the pandemic, especially among people that had psychotherapeutic care. There was no significant change in smoking behavior. Keywords: Alcohol use, Nicotine use, substance abuse, pandemic, COVID-19, lockdown, mental health, narcology
