Abstract

Autores izvēlētā bakalaura darba tēma ir „ Klientu ar demenci aprūpe ilgstošās sociālās un rehabilitācijas iestādē’’. Saistībā ar dzīves ilguma palielināšanos, palielinās arī bažas par veselīgu novecošanu, t.sk. kognitīvo procesu saglabāšanos visas dzīves laikā, arī senioru vecumā. Lielākoties pacienti ar demenci savas diagnozes dēļ nonāk ilglaicīgās sociālās aprūpes un rehabilitācijas iestādēs, kur atrodas nepārtrauktā uzraudzībā, tādēļ ir ļoti svarīgi, lai medicīnas māsas izprastu kādas vajadzības un kāda aprūpe ir nepieciešama pacientiem ar šādu diagnozi. Bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek veikta literatūras avotu analīze saistībā ar demences veidiem un klientu ar demenci aprūpi ilgstošās sociālās aprūpes un rehabilitācijas iestādē. Bakalaura darba praktiskajā daļā tiek pielietota kvalitatīvā pētniecības metode izstrādājot strukturētu interviju medicīnas māsām, kas ikdienā savus darba pienākumus veic ilgstošās sociālās aprūpes un rehabilitācijas centrā. Pētījuma rezultātos tika iegūta atbilde uz pētījuma jautājumu – Kāda ir klientu ar demenci aprūpe ilgstošās sociālās aprūpes un rehabilitācijas iestādē? The topic of the author's chosen Bachelor's work is “Care for clients with dementia in a long-term social and rehabilitation facility”. As a result of the increase in life expectancy, concerns about healthy ageing, including the maintenance of cognitive processes throughout life, also in seniors, are also increasing. For the most part, patients with dementia, due to their diagnosis, end up in long-term social care and rehabilitation facilities under continuous supervision, so it is vital that nurses understand what needs and what care is needed for patients with this type of diagnosis. The theoretical part of the Bachelor's work carries out an analysis of literary sources related to dementia types and care for clients with dementia in a long-term social care and rehabilitation facility. The practical part of the Bachelor's work uses the qualitative research method by developing a structured interview for nurses who perform their daily work duties in a long-term social care and rehabilitation centre. The results of the study gave an answer to the study question – What is the care of patients with dementia in a long-term social care and rehabilitation facility?
