The topic of the bachelor's thesis is "Parents' attitude towards children's vaccination in the preschool educational institution of the Riga region". The topicality is determined by the fact that vaccination is considered a generally recognized effective way to prevent several dangerous infections. Even vaccination is considered not only the most economical and accessible means for the prevention of infectious diseases, but also one of the factors of preserving the longevity of an active person. In Latvia, the number of parents who refuse to vaccinate their children according to the vaccination calendar has increased. Therefore, it is necessary to study the attitude of parents and the reasons for not vaccinating children in order to carry out informational measures in time and the medical staff to be able to provide timely help and support. The type of research used is quantitative research. Research hypothesis: the majority of parents from the author's questionnaire in preschool educational institutions of the Riga region support vaccination of children because they trust the family doctor. Research instrument: an approved questionnaire for PACV, which was translated into Latvian. Research results: The hypothesis has been partially proven, because the majority of parents from the author's questionnaire in preschool educational institutions of the Riga region question the vaccination of children, but trust the family doctor. Key words: child vaccination, Riga region, preschool educational institution
