Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma “ Demences pacientu aprūpe” ir arvien aktuālāka, jo aprūpes iestādēs un stacionāros nonāk arvien vairāk pacientu kurus ir skārusi šī diagnoze. Tas ir izskaidrojums ar cilvēku un populācijas dzīvildzes palielināšanos. Tomēr šo pacientu aprūpe prasa lielākus personāla resursus, kā arī plašākas medicīnas un aprūpes personāla zināšanas par šo pacientu aprūpi. Darba mērķis - noskaidrot par demences pacientu aprūpi stacionārā no strādājošo māsu viedokļa. Kā pētniecības instruments ir izvēlēta daļēji strukturēta intervija. Pētniecības metode – kvalitatīvā. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka māsām ir zināšanas par demences pacientu aprūpi un vajadzībām, tomēr nav viena koncepta pēc kura viņas vadās, māsas veic aprūpi, kas balstīta uz viņu darbā iegūto pieredzi, zināšanām un tā brīža situāciju.

The Bachelor`s work theme “care for dementia patients”, is increasingly getting more popular as more and more patients are reaching nursing homes and inpatients affected by diagnosis. This i san explanation for the increase in human and population survival. However, the care of the patients requires greater staffing resources, as well as greater knowledge of the care of these patients by medical and nursing staff. The aim of the work is to find out about the treatment of dementia patients in hospital from the point of view of working nurses. A semi-structured interview has been chosen as a research tool. Research method used – qualitative. The results of the study show that nurses have knowledge of the care and needs that dementia patients require. However, there is no single concept they are guided by, nurses are providing care based on the experience gained in their work, knowledge and the situation.
