Abstract

Maģistra darbs “Integrētas aprūpes principi pacientiem ar demenci privātajā sociālās aprūpes centrā X” izstrādāts ar mērķi teorētiski pētīt un empīriski pamatot multisensorās istabas izmantošanas iespējas klientu ar demenci funkcionālā stāvokļa saglabāšanai un uzturēšanai sociālās aprūpes centra (SAC) apstākļos. Darbā teorētiski analizēta demences simptomātika, pacientu ar demenci integrētā aprūpe Benneres-Vrūbelas un K.Rojas māszinību teoriju kontekstā. Empīriskā pētījumā, analizējot datus par intervences un kontroles grupām vecuma un dzimuma šķērsgriezumā, secināts, ka integrētās aprūpes rezultāti ir atkarīgi no dementīvo traucējumu dziļuma un pacienta attieksmi pret nodarbībām multisensorā telpā, tādēļ jebkurā gadījumā ir iespējams regress, tomēr kopumā ir apstiprināma darba hipotēze – regulāra multisensorās istabas izmantošana ļauj veiksmīgi saglabāt un uzturēt klientu ar demenci funkcionālo stāvokli. Daļai pacientu ir vērojami uzlabojumi.

The master thesis "Principles of Integrated Care for Patients with Dementia in Private Social Care Centre X" was developed with the aim to theoretically investigate and empirically justify the possibilities of using a multisensory room for preserving and maintaining the functional status of clients with dementia in the setting of a social care centre (SAC). The theoretical analysis of dementia symptomatology, integrated care of patients with dementia in the context of Benner-Wrubel and C. Roy nursing theories is carried out. The empirical study, analysing data on intervention and control groups in cross-section of age and sex, concludes that the results of integrated care depend on the depth of dementing disorders and the patient's attitude to the activities in the multisensory room, therefore regression is possible in any case, however, the working hypothesis is generally confirmed - regular use of the multisensory room allows to successfully maintain and sustain the functional status of clients with dementia. Some of the patients show improvement.
