Veselības pratība zarnu vēža skrīninga izpildē ģimenes ārsta praksē

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma - Veselības pratība zarnu vēža skrīninga izpildē ģimenes ārsta praksē Tēmas aktualitāti pamato, ka pēc statsistikas datiem Latvijā pacientu iesaiste valsts apmaksātā zarnu vēža skrīningā, nav pietiekama. Lai pacients uzlabotu un uzturētu savu veselību ir nepieciešamas prasmes, kas ļauj izprast informāciju par savu veselību. Literatūras avotos šo informācijas izpratni apzīmē kā veselības pratību. Ģimenes ārsta prakses loma pacientu veselības pratības veicināšanā un valsts apmaksātā zarnu vēža skrīninga izpildē ir ļoti nozīmīga. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot pacientu veselības pratību saistībā ar valsts apmaksātā zarnu vēža skrīninga veikšanu ģimenes ārsta praksē. Pētniecības izvirzītie uzdevumi ir noskaidrot vai pacienta izglītības līmenis ietekmē iesaisti zarnu vēža skrīninga veikšanā; ģimenes ārsta prakses loma zarnu vēža skrīninga izpildē; ierobežojumi un problēmas, kas ietekmē zarnu vēža skrīninga izpildi; noskaidrot vai pacienta vecums ietekmē spēju izprast informāciju par zarnu vēža skrīninga nozīmi; pacientu pieredze zarnu vēža skrīninga procesā; noskaidrot vai pacientiem ir svarīgs ģimenes locekļu atbalsts zarnu vēža skrīninga veikšanā. Izvirzītā hipotēze - Pacientu izglītības līmenis ietekmē izpratni par iesasitīšanos vai neiesaistīšanos valsts apmaksātā zarnu vēža skrīninga veikšanā. Pētniecības jautājums - Kāpēc pacienti neizmanto valsts apmaksāto zarnu vēža skrīningu? Pētniecības metode - kvalitatīva un kvantitatīva. Pētniecības instruments/i – pacientu aptaujas anketa un daļēji strukturētās intervijas.

The topic of the master's thesis - Health literacy in performing bowel cancer screening in general practitioner’s practice The topicality of the topic is justified by the fact that, according to statistical data, the patients’ participation in publicly funded bowel cancer screening in Latvia is insufficient. For a patient to improve and maintain their health, their require the skills that allows them to understand their health information. Literature sources refer to this understanding as health literacy. The practice of a general practitioner holds an important role in improving the health literacy of patients, as well as in raising awareness regarding the execution of publicly funded bowel cancer screening. The aim of this paper is to establish the health literacy of patients in relation to conducting publicly funded bowel cancer screening at a general practitioner’s practice. The tasks set by the research are to find out whether the patient's level of education affects the participation in bowel cancer screening; the role of the general practitioner’s practice in performing bowel cancer screening; the limitations and challenges affecting the execution of bowel cancer screening; to establish whether the patient’s age affects the ability to comprehend information about the importance of bowel cancer screening; the experience of patients in the bowel cancer screening process; as well as to find out whether the support of family members is important for patients in bowel cancer screening process. Proposed hypothesis - The level of education of patients affects the awareness of involvement or non-involvement in publicly funded bowel cancer screening. Research question - Why do patients not use publicly funded bowel cancer screening? Research method - qualitative and quantitative. Research instrument/s – patient questionnaire and semi-structured interviews.
