Māsu pieredze par pacientu drošības kultūru stacionārā veselības aprūpē

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir “Māsu pieredze par pacientu drošības kultūru stacionārā veselības aprūpē”. Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka tas, ka neskatoties uz pacientu drošības kustības globāliem uzlabošanas centieniem un virkni drošības pasākumu ieviešanu, pacienta drošība joprojām ir galvenā sabiedrības veselības problēma pasaulē un nozīmīga kvalitātes pilnveidošanas stratēģija pacientu aprūpē. Māsas var ievērojami ietekmēt pacientu drošību, piedaloties proaktīvas pacientu drošības kultūras veidošanā un tās veicināšanā. Pētījuma mērķis ir veikt māsu pieredzes izpēti un analīzi par pacientu drošības kultūru stacionārā veselības aprūpē. Pētījuma jautājumi ir: Kāda ir māsu pieredze pacientu drošības kultūras veidošanā un uzturēšanā? Kādi ietekmējošie faktori nosaka pacientu drošības kultūru māsu praksē? Pētījumā tika izmantota kvalitatīvā pētījuma metode - daļēji strukturēta intervija. Apkopojot pētījuma rezultātus, tika secināts, ka māsas izprot pacientu drošības nozīmi un jūtās atbildīgas par pacientu drošības kultūras veidošanu un uzturēšanu veselības aprūpē. Māsu iniciatīvas pacientu drošības kultūras veidošanā ietver komandas darba un savstarpējās komunikācijas veicināšanu, ziņošanu par drošības incidentiem un mācīšanos no kļūdām, uz pacienta vērstas aprūpes pielietošanu un nepārtrauktu pašizglītošanos. Kā arī māsu sakārtotā darba vide, uz pierādījumiem balstītas aprūpes pielietošana, efektīva pacienta aprūpes informācijas nodošana un nenosodošā drošības incidentu ziņošana ir identificējami kā pacientu drošības kultūras pozitīvi ietekmējošie faktori māsu praksē.

The topic of the master's thesis is “Nurses' Experience of Patient Safety Culture in Inpatient Treatment”. The topicality of the thesis has been determined by the fact that despite the efforts of the global movement to improve patient safety and to introduce a series of protection measures, patient safety remains the main public health problem in the world and is considered to be an important quality improvement strategy in patient health care. Nurses can make a significant impact on patient safety, developing and promoting a proactive patient safety culture. The aim of the research is to study nurses’ experience and to analyse patient safety culture in inpatient health care. The research questions are as follows: what nurses' experience in creating and maintaining patient safety culture is and what influencing factors determine patient safety culture in nursing practice. The qualitative research method has been applied for the study, and a semi-structured interview has been used as the research tool. Having summarized the results of the study, it was concluded that nurses understood the importance of patient safety and felt responsible for creating and maintaining patient safety culture in health care. Nursing initiatives in building a culture of patient safety included promoting teamwork and interpersonal communication, reporting about safety incidents and learning from mistakes, applying patient-centred care, and continuing self-education. Additionally, an orderly work environment for nurses, application of evidence-based care, effective transfer of patient care information and non-judgmental reporting of safety incidents were identified as positive influencing factors on patient safety culture in nursing practice.
