Mūzikas studentu sociālā un kultūras kapitāla loma nākotnes plānu veidošanā: Latvijas studenti Nīderlandē

Abstract

Maģistra darba “Mūzikas studentu sociālā un kultūras kapitāla loma nākotnes plānu veidošanā: Latvijas studenti Nīderlandē” mērķis ir izpētīt studentu kultūras kapitāla veidošanu un sociālā kapitāla uzturēšanu un attīstīšanu saistībā ar viņu nākotnes plāniem. Maģistra darba teorētiskajam ietvaram ir izmantota sociālā un kultūras kapitāla teorija. Tika veikta šo kapitāla veidu savstarpēja salīdzināšana, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot to lomai migrācijas kontekstā. Maģistra darbs tika veidots kā kvalitatīvs pētījums un empīrisko datu ieguvei tika veiktas 10 daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar studentiem, kuri Nīderlandē ir studējuši vai studē mūziku. Analīze tika veikta izmantojot tematiskās analīzes metodi. Rezultāti liecina, ka kultūras un sociālais kapitāls veido būtisku lomu studentu nākotnes plānu veidošanā. Analizējot sociālā un kultūras kapitāla lomu, ir secināts, ka studenti apzinās šo kapitāla veidu nozīmīgumu un remigrācijas iespējamība ir balstīta ne tikai uz studentu pašu vēlmēm, bet arī uz nākotnes darba iespējām atgriežoties Latvijā.

The aim of the Master's thesis "The role of social and cultural capital of music students in creating future plans: Latvian students in the Netherlands" is to investigate the formation of cultural capital and the maintenance and development of social capital of students in relation to their future plans. The theory of social and cultural capital is used for the theoretical framework of the Master's thesis. A cross-comparison of these forms of capital was made, paying special attention to their role in the context of migration. The master's thesis was designed as qualitative research and to obtain empirical data 10 semi-structured interviews were conducted with students who have studied or are studying music in the Netherlands. The analysis was carried out using the thematic analysis method. The results show that cultural and social capital play an important role in shaping the future plans of students. Analysing the role of social and cultural capital, it has been concluded that students are aware of the importance of these types of capital and the possibility of remigration is based not only on the wishes of the students, but also on future work opportunities upon return to Latvia.
