The Denker clock was made around 1889 and has kept the exact time for almost 70 years. Due to its antiquity and history of use, it is a valuable museum exhibit. It was made by the German watchmaker Ferdinand Denker (1837-1917) around 1889. Denker's watch served in the time service of the Riga Polytechnic Institute, where the Swiss professor Aleksandr Beck (1847-1926) and other employees determined the exact time for Riga based on star observations. A video about the Denkere watch is available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjLJS8CKy4wen_US
Denkera pulkstenis izgatavots ap 1889. gadu un glabājis precīzo laiku gandrīz 70 gadus. Sava senuma un izmantošanas vēstures dēļ tas ir vērtīgs muzeja eksponāts. To izgatavojis vācu pulksteņmeistars Ferdinands Denkers (1837-1917) ap 1889. gadu. Denkera pulkstenis kalpoja Rīgas Politehnikuma laika dienestā, kurā šveiciešu profesors Aleksandrs Beks (1847-1926) un citi darbinieki pēc zvaigžņu novērojumiem noteica Rīgai precīzo laiku.
