Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma “Magnētiskās rezonanses pacienti ar tetovējumiem un permanento make up - iespējamās komplikācijas un artefakti, to novēršana”. Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka tas, ka daži pacienti, saskaroties ar nepieciešamību veikt magnētiskās rezonanses izmeklējumu, uztraucas vai tas ir iespējams, ja ir tetovējumi vai permanentais make up. Permanentais make up un tetovējumi var saturēt dzelzs savienojumus un arī reaģēt uz spēcīgu elektromagnētisko lauku. Izmeklējuma laikā metāla priekšmeti var sāk kustēties un uzkarst, kas var radīt diskomfortu vai bojājumus ādā, kā arī metāls var radīt artefaktus un pasliktināt izmeklējuma kvalitāti. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot cik bieži un kā rodas komplikācijas un artefakti, MR pacientiem ar tetovējumiem un permanento make up. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no ievada, teorētiskās un pētniecības daļas un secinājumiem. Bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā ir analizēta un apkopota literatūra par magnētiskās rezonanses iekārtas darbības principiem un iespējamajiem artefaktiem, un literatūru par tetovējumiem un permanento make up. Bakalaura darba pētnieciskajā daļā tika veikta 50 pacientu anketēšana, apkopotas pacientu sniegtās atbildes un izdarīti secinājumi, kas balstās uz literatūras analīzi un iegūtajiem rezultātiem. Darba apjoms ir 43 lpp., to veido 3 nodaļas, 10 apakšnodaļas, 5 pielikumi, darbā ir iekļauti 2 attēli un 20 diagrammas. Darbā ir izmantoti 24 literatūras un informācijas avoti.

The bachelor's thesis topic is "Magnetic Resonance Patients with Tattoos and Permanent Makeup - Possible Complications and Artifacts, Their Prevention." The significance of the topic is underscored by the fact that certain patients, when confronted with the necessity of magnetic resonance imaging, express apprehension about its feasibility if they bear tattoos or permanent makeup. These cosmetic enhancements often contain iron compounds and can react to intense electromagnetic fields. During the procedure, metallic objects may shift and heat up, potentially causing discomfort or skin damage. Moreover, metal can generate artifacts, compromising the quality of the examination. The work aims to determine how often and how complications and artifacts occur in Magnetic Resonance patients with tattoos and permanent makeup. The bachelor thesis includes an introduction, theoretical and research parts, and conclusions. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, literature on the principles of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and possible artifacts and literature on tattoos and permanent makeup have been analyzed and summarized. In the research segment of the bachelor thesis, a comprehensive questionnaire was administered to 50 patients. The responses were meticulously collected and analyzed, and conclusions were drawn based on a thorough review of the literature and the obtained results. The thesis is 43 pages long and consists of 3 chapters, 10 subsections, five attachments, two images, and 20 diagrams. It has used 24 literature and information sources.
