dc.description.abstract | The title of this master’s thesis is ”Development of an experimental tool for distinguishing emotion in biological motion perception”. Representing the movements of a living being with points of light is called biological motion. Human perception is designed in such a way that it can distinguish living beings from objects even when they are represented with points of light. This master’s thesis examines how perception processes determine the emotions of the body depicted with light points, in addition, experiments have been conducted on the perception of visual movements (gaze transfer) to determine which of the given points a person is looking at when emotions are recognized. The aim of this master’s thesis is to implement and experimentally test an easy-to-use solution that allows creating and conducting experiments to determine the threshold of recognizing emotion in biological movement stimulus. The solution is designed to be usable outside of the development of this work by making the source code open and describing how it was created and how it can be used. During the development of this thesis 3 experiments were conducted using Tobii Pro nano eye tracker and the developed web experiment. The number of participants were 10 in the first experiment, 270 in the second and 23 in the third.
