Dreimanis I., 2024. Kūdras ieguves ietekmētie kūdrāji un to rekultivācijas potenciāla izvērtējums. Maģistra darbs. Latvijas Universitāte, Ģeogrāfijas un Zemes zinātņu fakultāte. Latvijā ir daudz bijušo kūdras ieguves lauku, kurus nepieciešams sakārtot dabas atjaunošanas un klimata pārmaiņu aspektā. Esošā telpiskā informācija SEG emisiju aprēķināšanai neietver aktuālo zemes izmantošanas veidu, kas savukārt rada neatbilstošu priekšstatu par SEG emisiju apjomu mitrāju kategorijā, plānojot pasākumus un rīcības atbilstošos valsts plānošanas dokumentos. Darba pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot kūdras ieguves rezultātā ietekmēto kūdrāju rekultivācijas potenciālu dabas atjaunošanai un klimata pārmaiņu mazināšanai veicot kamerālos un lauka pētījumus pilotteritorijās, Pētījuma rezultāti indikatīvi ir parādījuši, ka kūdras ieguves rezultātā degradēto teritoriju zemes izmantošanas veidi pēc kūdras ieguves pabeigšanas laika gaitā ir mainījušies un to teritorijas lielākoties tiek izmantotas citiem mērķiem, un rekultivācijas pasākumu īstenošana nav nepieciešama. Darba rezultātā izstrādāti lēmumu pieņemšanas atbalsta moduļi, ar kuru palīdzību ir iespējams sistematizēt un ranžēt iegūtos degradēto teritoriju kartēšanas rezultātus, nosakot prioritātes, iespējamos rīcības soļus, teritoriju rekultivācijas mērķu sasniegšanai un iespējamā izmantošanas potenciāla noteikšanai. Maģistra darba mērķis: Noskaidrot kūdras ieguves rezultātā ietekmēto kūdrāju rekultivācijas potenciālu dabas atjaunošanai un klimata pārmaiņu mazināšanai Dreimanis I., 2024. Peatland areas affected by peat extraction in Latvia and their recultivation potential. Master's Thesis. University of Latvia, Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences. There are a large number of former peat extraction sites that need to be recultivated. This is both a nature conservation and a climate change issue. The existing spatial information for the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions does not include the current situation of land use, which in turn creates an inadequate picture of the amount of greenhouse gas emissions in the category of wetlands when planning measures and actions in relevant state planning documents. The aim of the research was to identify the potential of peatlands affected by peat extraction for nature restoration and climate change mitigation through the cameral and field studies in pilot areas. The results of the study indicate that the areas degraded by peat extraction have changed their land use type over time after peat extraction and are mostly used for other purposes, and that recultivation measures are not necessary. As a result of the work, a decision support module has been developed, which makes it possible to systematise and prioritise the results of the mapping of degraded areas, to determine priorities, possible action steps, to achieve the goals of recultivation of areas and to determine the possible use potential.
