Latvijas zivsaimniecības nozares iesaiste globālajās vērtību ķēdēs

Abstract

Globālās vērtību ķēdes ir kļuvušas par dominējošu starptautiskās tirdzniecības modeli, kas ietekmē dažādu nozaru, tostarp zivsaimniecības, attīstību. Latvija, kā maza atvērta ekonomika, ir iesaistīta GVK, un šīs iesaistes potenciālā ietekme uz zivsaimniecības nozares attīstību ir nozīmīgs pētījumu objekts. Tādēļ bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot zivsaimniecības nozares globālās vērtību ķēdes iesaistes faktorus un secināt, kuri dot pozitīvu ietekmi un kurus nepieciešams uzlabot. Lai izpildītu mērķi – empīriskajā daļā tika veikta Latvijas zivsaimniecību uzņēmumu intervijas, kā rezultāti tika izanalizēti. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka Latvijas zivsaimniecības nozares iesaisti GVK ietekmē gan iekšējie, gan ārējie faktori. Rezultāti norāda, ka Latvijas uzņēmumu un valsts politika nav pietiekami optimāla uzņēmumu iesaistei globālajās vērtību ķēdēs. Tomēr pētījums arī atklāj, ka GVK iesaistei var būt pozitīva ietekme uz Latvijas zivsaimniecības nozares attīstību.

Global value chains have become the dominant model of international trade, influencing the development of various sectors, including fisheries. Latvia, as a small open economy, is involved in GVCs, and the potential impact of this involvement on the development of the fisheries sector is an important research topic. Therefore, this bachelor's thesis aims to identify the factors of involvement of the fisheries sector in global value chains and to conclude which have a positive impact and which need to be improved. To achieve the objective, interviews with Latvian fishery enterprises were conducted in the empirical part, and the results were analyzed. The results of the study show that the involvement of the Latvian fisheries sector in GVCs is influenced by both internal and external factors. The results indicate that the policies of Latvian companies and the state are not optimal enough for the involvement of companies in global value chains. However, the study also reveals that GVC involvement can have a positive impact on the development of the Latvian fisheries sector
