On the topic of gender differences in leadership effectiveness, researchers are divided. Some studies report gender differences in weighting either female effectiveness or male effectiveness, but there are also studies that deny the importance of gender in leadership effectiveness. Based on the fact that these opinions are divided in the scientific literature, it remains an open question how gender affects the choice and effectiveness of leadership styles and whether this choice affects team performance. Based on the analysis of the scientific literature, as well as the results of the experiment conducted as part of this study, to evaluate the influence of the leader's gender on the leadership style and team performance. 56 employees from the Finance and Control Department of SIA "Circle K Business Centre" participated in the experiment. 8 teams were created, where each team had 1 manager and 6 employees. Each team was given a task to complete, after which all group members filled in the questionnaire, managers filled in the questionnaire of the leader's leadership style, and employees - Team Excellence and Collaborative Team Leader Questionnaire. The expected results of the study will provide insight into how a leader's gender can influence his leadership style and, in turn, how this influence can be reflected in team effectiveness.
