Vizualizācija un grafiskie organizatori skolēnu teksta izpratnes attīstībai angļu valodā starptautiskas skolas 2. klasē

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Vizualizācija un grafiskie organizatori skolēnu teksta izpratnes attīstībai angļu valodā starptautiskās skolas 2. klasē” mērķis ir izpētīt, kā vizualizācija un grafiskie organizatori var sekmēt skolēnu teksta izpratnes attīstību angļu valodā starptautiskās skolas 2. klasē. Gadījuma pētījuma ietvaros tika analizēta teorija par teksta izpratni un tās attīstīšanu, par vizualizāciju un grafiskajiem organizatoriem un kā tie var palīdzēt skolēnu teksta izpratnes attīstīšanai, noskaidrots pieredzējušas angļu valodas skolotājas viedoklis, kā arī praktiski izmēģinātas dažādas teksta izpratnes attīstīšanas metodes 2. klases angļu valodas stundās. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no ievada, 3 nodaļām, 37 izmantotās literatūras avotiem un 8 pielikumiem. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek apskatīta lasītprasme - tās apguve un vērtēšana 2. klasē, kā arī tiek noskaidrots konkrētā vecumposma raksturojums. Otrajā nodaļā tiek apskatīti dažāda veida vizuālo un grafisko organizatoru metodes, kas var palīdzēt skolēniem teksta izpratnes attīstīšanā. Trešajā nodaļā tiek aprakstīts gadījuma pētījums starptautiskās skolas 2. klasē. Kopējais darba apjoms ir 50 lpp. Gadījuma pētījumā tika izmantotas divas dažādas metodes, lai sekmētu skolēnu teksta izpratni. Tiem skolēniem, kam bija augstāks lasīšanas līmenis, šādu metožu izmantošana palīdzēja vēl labāk un dziļāk izprast lasīto, tātad, skolēnu teksta izpratne, izmantojot vizualizāciju un grafisko organizatoru metodes, uzlabojās. Visi pētījumā iesaistītie skolēni kā labu palīgu teksta izpratnes sekmēšanā norādīja vienu no vizualizācijas metodēm - grāmatu ilustrācijas. The aim of the bachelor thesis “Visualization and Graphic Organizers to develop Grade 2 Students’ Reading Comprehension in English at International School”, is to investigate how visualization and graphic organizers can contribute to the development of grade 2 student’s text comprehension in English at international school. As part of the case study, the author analysed theory of text comprehension and it’s development, visualization and graphic organizers and how they can help in developing students’ text comprehension, as well as the opinion of an experienced English language teacher was clarified, and various methods of developing text comprehension in 2nd grade were practically tested. The bachelor thesis consists of an introduction, 3 chapters, 37 sources of information and 8 appendices. The first chapter examines literacy - it’s acquisition and evaluation in 2nd grade as well as the characteristics of the specific age stage. The second chapter examines different types of visual and graphic organizer methods that can help students develop text comprehension. The third chapter describes a case study that is held in the 2nd grade of an international school. The total volume of work – 50 pages. In the practical study, two different methods were used to promote student’s understanding of the text. For the students who had a higher reading level, the use of such methods helped to understand what they read even better and deeper, therefore, the student’s understanding of the text (using visualization and graphic organizer methods) improved. All the students involved in the study pointed out one of the visualization methods – book illustrations, as a good helper in promoting the understanding of the text.
