Beijesa metožu pielietošana liela mēroga izglītības pētījumu sekundārā analīzē

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs veltīts, Beijesa metožu izpētei un potenciālajam pielietojumam liela mēroga izglītības pētījumu sekundārā analīzē. Darba uzdevumu izpildei, tiek aplūkotas standarta metodes, kādas tiek pielietotas liela mēroga izglītības pētījumu analīzē, kā faktoranalīze, jautājumu atbildes teorija, mēra invariance un regresija. Tiek apskatīta un aprakstīta teorija, kas balstās un apraksta Beijesa metodes un pieeju šīm metodēm. Praktiski tiek testēta mēra invariance, kas pārbaudīta ar dispersiju analīzes jeb ANOVA palīdzību un vai tā tiek ietekmēta ar Beijesa metodēm pielietojot BCFA jeb Beijesa apstiprinošo faktoranalīzi, kā arī izveidoti Beijesa aditīvās regresijas koki un aplūkoti to rezultāti. Testi veikti uz IEA jeb Starptautiskā izglītības sasniegumu novērtēšanas asociācijas (angl. International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) 2022. gada ICCS pētījuma - Starptautiskais pilsonības un pilsoniskās izglītības pētījums (angl. International Civic and Citizenship Education Study).

The Bachelor’s paper is dedicated to exploring the application and potential use of Bayesian methods in international comparative education secondary analysis of research data. In order to accomplish the given tasks, standard methods used in the analysis of such studies are discussed, methods like factor analysis, item response theory, measurement invariance and regression. The theory that underlies and describes Bayesian approaches and methods is examined and described. Practically, measurement invariance is tested using analysis of variance - ANOVA, and whether it is affected by Bayesian methods is tested by applying Bayesian confirmatory factor analysis - BCFA, additionally Bayesian additive regression trees have been created and their results examined. The tests are done on the 2022 International Civic and Citizenship Education Study - ICCS, conducted by International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement - IEA.
