Valsts aizsardzības dienests interneta portālu "Lsm.lv" un "Delfi.lv" dienaskārtībā (2022. gada septembris – 2024. gada februāris)

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Valsts aizsardzības dienests interneta portālu “Lsm.lv” un “Delfi.lv” dienaskārtībā (2022. gada septembris – 2024. gada februāris)” mērķis ir izpētīt un noskaidrot kā Latvijas vadošie ziņu portāli “Lsm.lv” un “Delfi.lv” dienaskārtībā tiek iekļauti vēstījumi par Valsts aizsardzības dienesta tēmu. Pētījumā izpētītas divu vadošo ziņu portālu “Lsm.lv” un “Delfi.lv” publikācijas par Valsts aizsardzības dienestu, kas atrodamas zem atslēgvārdiem “Valsts aizsardzības dienests”, “aizsardzības dienests”, “obligātais dienests” un “VAD” laika posmā no 2022. gada 1. septembra līdz 2024. gada 29. februārim. Kopumā, ar kvantitatīvās kontentanalīzes pētniecības metodi izanalizētas 173 publikācijas, no kurām 12 publikācijas analizētas padziļinātā veidā ar kvalitatīvās kontentanalīzes metodi. Papildus veiktajām kontentanalīzēm, veiktas divas daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar “Lsm.lv” un “Delfi.lv” ziņu portālu redaktoriem. Darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatīta dienaskārtības teorija, sabiedrības dienaskārtības veidošana, masu mediju raksturojums, koncentrējoties uz sabiedriskā un komerciālā medija funkciju aprakstu, kā arī Valsts aizsardzības dienesta raksturojums. Metodoloģiskā daļa sastāv no kvantitatīvās un kvalitatīvās kontentanalīzes, un daļēji strukturētās intervijas. Pētījuma rezultātos noskaidrots, ka Valsts aizsardzības tēma visai veiksmīgi tiek iekļauta ziņu portālu “Lsm.lv” un “Delfi.lv” dienaskārtībā, kā arī izpētītas galvenās informācijas nodošanas stratēģijas, kuras mediji izmanto, lai pievērstu sabiedrības uzmanību un veicinātu diskusijas par Valsts aizsardzības dienestu, tai skaitā satura dažādības iekļaušana portālu dienaskārtībā, kā arī atšķirīga mediju pieeja mediju un sabiedrības savstarpējās atgriezeniskās saites gūšanā. Kā arī noskaidrots kā atšķiras abu mediju publikācijas, kas saistītas ar tēmu “Valsts aizsardzības dienests”.

The aim of the bachelor thesis “National Defence Service on the agenda of the “Lsm.lv” and “Delfi.lv” internet portals (September 2022 – February 2024)” is to investigate how the leading Latvian news portals “Lsm.lv” and “Delfi.lv” include messages about the National Defence Service in their agenda. The research examines the publications on the National Defence Service by two leading news portals “Lsm.lv” and “Delfi.lv” which can be found under the keywords “National Defence Service”, “Defence Service”, “compulsory service” and “VAD” in the period from 1 September 2022 to 29 February 2024. In total, 173 publications were analyzed using the quantitative content analysis research method, of which 12 publications were analyzed in depth using the qualitative content analysis method. In addition to the content analyses, two semi-structured interviews were conducted with the editors of the “Lsm.lv” and “Delfi.lv” news portals. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the theory of the agenda, the shaping of the public agenda, the description of the media, focusing on the functions of the public and commercial media, as well as the National Defence Service. The methodological part includes quantitative and qualitative content analysis, and semi-structured interviews. The results of the research show that the topic of National Defence Service is quite successfully included in the agenda of the news portals “Lsm.lv” and “Delfi.lv”, as well as the main information transfer strategies used by the media to attract public attention and promote discussions about the National Defence Service, including the variety of content included in the portal’s agenda, as well as different media strategies for receiving feedback between the media and society. It has shows how the publications of the two media on the two media on the subject of the National Defence Service are different.
