Saeimas priekšvēlēšanu debates 2014-2022: populisma analīze

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir "Saeimas priekšvēlēšanu debates 2014-2022: populisma analīze". Darba mērķis ir analizēt populisma līmeni Latvijas politisko partiju līderu izteikumos Saeimas priekšvēlēšanu debatēs laika periodā no 2014. gada līdz 2022. gadam. Darba teorētiskā daļa sastāv no teorētiskiem aspektiem par populismu, galvenokārt, teorētisko bāzi veido trīs populisma pieejas – ideoloģiskā, stratēģiskā un socio-kulturālā pieeja. Izmantojot populisma analīzes matricas populisma pazīmju identificēšanai politisko partiju līderu izteikumos saskaņā ar kvalitatīvo un kvantitatīvo kontentanalīzes metodi, tika izanalizēti 2 317 partijas līderu izteikumi trīs atsevišķās priekšvēlēšanu debatēs. Tika secināts, ka populisma līmenis partiju līderu izteikumos priekšvēlēšanu debatēs laika periodā no 2014. līdz 2022. gadam ir palielinājies, līdz ar to darba pirmā izvirzītā hipotēze ir apstiprinājusies. Turklāt darba otrā izvirzīta hipotēze: populistisko līderu skaits Saeimas priekšvēlēšanu debatēs laika periodā no 2014. līdz 2022. gadam ir palielinājies - arī ir apstiprinājusies.

The topic of bachelor thesis is "Latvian parliamentary election debate 2014-2022: populism analysis". The aim of the thesis is to analyse the level of populism in the statements made by the leaders of Latvian political parties in the pre-election debates in the period from 2014 to 2022. The theoretical part of the work consists of theoretical aspects of populism, mainly, the theoretical base consists of three approaches to populism - ideological, strategic and socio-cultural approaches. Using a populism analysis matrix to identify signs of populism in the statements of political party leaders, in line with qualitative and quantitative methods of contingency analysis, the 2 317 statements of party leaders in three separate pre-election debates were analysed. It was concluded that the level of populism in party leaders’ statements in pre-election debates has increased between 2014 and 2022, thus the first hypothesis of the paper has been confirmed. In addition, the second hypothesis put forward by the thesis - that the number of populist leaders' statements in parliamentary pre-election debates has increased in the period from 2014 to 2022 - has also been confirmed.
