Azure Logic Apps un Azure Functions bezservera pakalpojumu salīdzinājums darbplūsmu automatizācijai

Abstract

Microsoft Azure populārākie pakalpojumi darbplūsmu automatizācijai ir mazkoda pakalpojums Azure Logic Apps un pielāgotās izstrādes pakalpojums Azure Functions. To popularitātes iemesla pamatā ir bezservera arhitektūras priekšrocības. Abi pakalpojumi nodrošina infrastruktūras uzturēšanu ar minimālām izmaksām, kas ļauj klientiem koncentrēties primāri uz biznesa loģiku un ātri izstrādāt darbplūsmas. Tomēr efektīva risinājuma izvēlei trūkst skaidru vadlīniju no pakalpojumu sniedzēja puses, kas noteiktu pakalpojumu piemērotību konkrētiem darbplūsmu automatizācijas scenārijiem. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt pakalpojumus Azure Logic Apps un Azure Functions un novērtēt tiem piemērotus darbplūsmu automatizācijas scenārijiem pēc diviem kritērijiem: integrācijas iespējas un veiktspēja.

The most popular workflow automation services provided by Microsoft Azure are the low-code service Azure Logic Apps and the custom development service Azure Functions. Their popularity is based on the advantages of serverless architecture. Both services provide infrastructure management for minimal costs, which allows client to concentrate primarily on business logic and fasten workflow development. However, the lack of clear guidelines provided by service provider makes it challenging to define the suitability of the services for specific workflow automation scenarios. The objective of this thesis is to make a research of Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions services and define the suitable workflow automation scenarios for these services based on two criterias: integration options and performance.
