Latviešu dienas preses partiju freimings pirms 2005. gada pašvaldību vēlēšanām (laikrakstos Diena, NRA, Latvijas Avīze)

Abstract

Komunikācijas zinātnes bakalaura studiju programmas studentes Talmas Niedras bakalaura darbā “Latviešu dienas preses partiju freimings pirms 2005.gada pašvaldību vēlēšanām /laikrakstos Diena, NRA, Latvijas Avīze/ izvirzītais darba mērķis - noskaidrot latviešu dienas preses politisko partiju freimingu pirms 2005. gada pašvaldību vēlēšanām (21.02.2005-12.03.2005), ar mērķi secināt, vai trīs preses izdevumi nodrošina sabiedrību (auditoriju) ar objektīvu un racionālu ziņu analīzes bāzi – tiek sasniegts. Darba mērķis tiek sasniegts, izpētot trīs laikrakstu dienas kārtību, noskaidrojot, kuru partiju reprezentācijā tiek izmantoti ietekmīgākie freiminga elementi, identificējot galvenos izceltos ziņojumus (freimus) par katru partiju, uzskaitot un analizējot identificētos freimus. Darba teorētiskais pamatojums ir komunikācijas speciālistu D.Makkvaila, E.Rodžera un Dīringa, B.Dženingsa, Makkomba un Šova teorijas un pētījumi par dienas kārtības konceptiem, un I.Gofmana, R.Entmana, K.Džonsones-Kartje freima un freiminga teorija. Darba gaitā autore izstrādā savu pozitīvo un negatīvo freimu tipoloģiju un izvirza divas kategorijas: laikraksta “kritikas mērķis” un “favorīts”. Darbā kā pētniecības metodes ir izmantotas kvantitatīvā un kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze. Pētījuma ietvaros ir sniegtas atbildes uz jautājumiem: •Kā laikrakstos ir reprezentētas politiskās partijas; •kādi freimi par kādām partijām tiek lietoti; •vai trīs preses izdevumi savai auditorijai sniedz racionālu informācijas bāzi.

The goal set and reached in the Bachelor Paper “Party framing offered by Latvian daily press before elections of local authorities in 2005 /in newspapers Diena, NRA, Latvijas Avīze/” by Talma Niedra, student of Communication Science Bachelor program, is to clarify the framing of political parties in Latvian daily press before the elections of local authorities of 2005 (21.02.2005-12.03.2005) with an aim to understand whether the three newspapers are able to provide the society (auditory) with an objective and rational base of news analysis. The goal of the present Paper is reached by means of studying the agenda of the three newspapers and clarifying which of the parties are represented with the most powerful framing elements, as well as identifying the main highlighted information (frames) on each party, enumerating and analyzing the identified frames. The theoretical background of the present Paper is theories and investigations by communication specialists D.Makkvail, E.Roger and Deering, B.Jenings, MacComb and Show on agenda concepts, and frame and framing theory by I.Gofman, R.Entman, K.Johnson-Cartier. In the course of the Paper the author has developed typology of positive and negative frames and has distinguished two categories: the “aim of criticism” and “favourite” of the newspaper. The author has employed two research methods: quantitative and qualitative content analysis. Within the framework of the present research there are offered answers to the following questions: •In what way political parties are represented in the newspapers? •What frames are used for particular parties? •Are three newspapers able to provide their auditory with rational base of information?
