In the bachelor paper “The presentation of the person for the identification” is based on the criminal procedure of Latvia and on the forensic science.
The main issues that are discussed in the paper are the similar persons needed for the presentation of the persons for the identification and the borders of this similarity, the most efficacious form and grounds for the presentation of the person for the identification, causes for the false identifications and their prevention, the role of the results of the presentation of the person for the identification, their admissibility and credibility.
Discussing these issues the author maintains the opinion that the most efficacious form for the presentation of the person for the identification is the direct form because in this form instead of shoving persons by photos or videotapes the shown persons are seen in their full height.
