Latvijas Nacionālo Bruņoto spēku kapelānu dienesta situācijas izvērtējums

Abstract

Latvijas Nacionālo Bruņoto spēku kapelānu dienests pastāv kopš 1993. gada 1. marta, kad AM līgumā tika definēts termins „kapelāns”. Atskatoties divdesmit gadu pagātnē, ir redzama dienesta attīstība un augšupeja, īsā laikā spējo pietuvojoties citu Eiropas valstu armijas kapelānu dienestiem, un izveidojot unikālu četru konfesiju pārstāvētu vidi dienestā. Tā kā NBS spēki dienē ne tikai Latvijā, bet piedalās arī ārvalstu misijās Irākā un Afganistānā, kapelānu darbība tā pat kā Bruņoto spēku darbība ieņem savu lomu pasaules un Eiropas kontekstā. Pētījuma uzdevums ir apskatīt un analizēt Latvijas Bruņoto spēku kapelānu dienesta pašreizējo situāciju un veikt vēsturisko kapelānu dienesta attīstības izpēti pasaulē un Latvijā. Pētījuma mērķu sasniegšana ļautu izvērtēt dienesta atbilstību teoloģiskajam un vēsturiskajam ietvaram, kā arī sniegtu iespēju iegūt un analizēt pašreizējās darbības raksturojumu. The Chaplain Service of the National Armed Forces of Latvia was established on 1st of March 1993, when the position of chaplain was defined in the legislation of the Ministry of Defense. In retrospective we see the rapid development and improvement of the Service alongside other Chaplain Services of European nations by creating a unique environment consisting of four different denominations. As NAF serve both domestic and international objectives, such as missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Chaplain Service along with National Armed Forces have a role of both global and European significance. The purpose of the report is to research and analyze current situation of the Chaplain Service of The National Armed Forces and provide a historical background of the development of Chaplain Services in Latvia and abroad.
