Darba mērķis ir noteikt, vai miera piespiešanas operācijas veicina militāro konfliktu un starptautiskā miera pārkāpuma vai apdraudējuma efektīvu novēršanu. Kādus mērķus sasniedz miera piespiešanas operācijas? Pirmajā nodaļā, definēts miera piespiešanas operāciju termins, noteiktas atšķirības dažādu pasaules zinātnieku uzskatos un miera nodrošināšanas doktrīnas. Analizētas miera nodrošināšanas operāciju pazīmes un noteikti operācijas izpildītāji. Otrkārt, apskatīta miera piespiešanas operāciju piemērošana praksē. Trešajā darba nodaļā iezīmētas problēmas, kuras ir saistītas ar miera piespiešanas operāciju īstenošanu praksē. The aim of the Paper is to determine how peace enforcement operations contribute to the averting of the military conflict and international peace disturbance or the threat to peace. What goals are reached with peace enforcement? The first chapter defines the concept of peace enforcement operations, investigates and analyses the acknowledged scientists' multiperspective viewpoints, as well as determines peacekeeping doctrines. The author analyses the features of peacekeeping operations and determines the executors of the operations. The broadening of the meaning of the concept under consideration since the establishment of the United Nations is highlighted. The second chapter is devoted to the in-depth investigation of the concept of peace enforcement. The author exemplifies the issue under consideration suggesting the United Nations Operations. The last chapter of the Paper deals with peace enforcement problem theoretical background application into practice.
