| dc.description.abstract | Bakalaura darbā „Adopcijas tiesisko problēmjautājumu risinājums Latvijā un Eiropas Savienībā” ir konstatētas raksturīgākās adopcijas tiesiskā regulējuma problēmas Latvijā un Eiropas Savienībā un izvērtēta šo problēmu ietekme uz adopcijas institūtu.
Adopcijas institūta tiesiskā regulējuma attīstība atspoguļo sabiedrības un sabiedriskā viedokļa attīstību ģimenes kontekstā. Adopcijas tiesiskais regulējums savā vēsturiskajā attīstībā ir piedzīvojis ievērojamas pārmaiņas, nomainot adopcijas veidu prioritātes. Mūsdienās attīstītajās Rietumeiropas valstīs dominē starptautiskā adopcija, ir ievērojami sarucis vietējo adopciju skaits. Adopcijas tiesiskā regulējuma pamatprincips ir bērna intereses. Latvijas sabiedrībā vēl arvien nav pietiekami daudz informācijas par adopciju un tās procesu. Sabiedrībā pastāvošie stereotipi par adopciju, tās procesu un adoptējamo bērnu neveicina plašāku adopciju Latvijā.

| dc.description.abstract | The following theses “Adoption– problematic questions in Latvia and European Union” establishes its most common juristic problems in Latvia and European Union and assesses how these affect the institution of adoption.
The juridical regulation in the institution of adoption mirrors society and its developing opinion towards family. In its historical development the juridical regulation has undergone significant changes. The priorities in type of adoption have changed. Developed Western Europe is largely dominated by international adoptions leaving local adoptions less popular. The base principal of juridical regulation of adoption is to represent and protect the interest of a child. Latvian society still does not have enough information available about adoption and its processes. Current stereotypes in society surrounding adoption and its process discourage adoption opportunities in Latvia.
