Pētījuma problēmas būtība ir tā , ka konfrontēšana ir izmeklēšanas darbība, kura tiek reti pielietota pirmstiesas izmeklēšanā.
Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt konfrontēšanas un pratināšanas kā konfrontēšanas satura procesuālos aspektus,analizēt esošo likumdošanu,kā arī ārvalstu likumdošanu, nepilnības,pretrunas un problēmas,kuras rodas konfrontācijas un pratināšanas laikā.
Galvenie uzdevumi bija apskatīt konfrontēšanas un pratināšanas jēdzienus, pratināšanas veidus,pareizu procesuālu nostiprināšanu kā arī noskaidrot pastāvošās pretrunas un nepilnības konfrontācijas un pratināšanas reglamentācijā spēkā esošajā Kriminālprocesa likumā.Piedāvāt ieteikumus un izteikt secinājumus par konfrontēšanu un pratināšanu kriminālprocesā.
Autore izvērtēja praktiskos pētījumus par konfrontēšanu un salīdzināja ar teorijā iegūto informāciju.
Pētījumā tika izmantoti materiāli no Ventspils policijas un Ventspils tiesas-šo dokumentu analīze par konkrētām krimināllietām, kurās bija veikta konfrontē The esence of the research’s problem is that the confrontation is an action of investigation, that is rarely used in the pretrial investigation.
The goal of the research is to study the procedural aspects of confrontation and questioning as the content of confrontation, to analyse the existing legislation, as well as the legislation of foreign countries,gaps,contradictions and problems, that occur during the confrontation and questioning.
The main tasks were to look at the concepts of confrontation and questioning, the kinds of questioning, an accurate procedural consolidation, as well as to find out the existing contradictions and gaps in the regulation of confrontation and questioning included into the Law of Criminal procedure in force.To suggest and conclude about confrontation and questioning in the criminal procedure.
