Autortiesībām mūsdienās tiek pievērsta aizvien lielāka loma, jo autortiesību sfērā saduras divu dažādu grupu intereses, kur no vienas puses ir darbu radītāji jeb autori, bet no otras puses autoru darbu lietotāji.
Darba mērķis ir izpētīt YouTube failu augšupielādes noteikumu atbilstību nacionālajiem likumdošanas aktiem.
Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, autors apskata, apraksta un analizē normatīvos aktus, specializēto juridisko literatūru, interneta avotus un juridiskās prakses materiālus attiecībā uz You Tube augšupielādes noteikumiem mijiedarbībā ar autortiesībām.
Pirmajā nodaļā ir sniegts You Tube darbības vispārīgs raksturojums, apskatot You Tube vēsturisko attīstību un lomu interneta vidē, kā arī izvērtējot You Tube augšupielādes noteikumu saturu.
Otrajā nodaļā ir apskatīta You Tube „Content ID” sistēma kā neatņemams autortiesību pārkāpumu regulēšanas mehānisms.
Trešajā nodaļā ir salīdzināts autortiesību normatīvais regulējums interneta vidē Latvijā, ASV un Anglijā.

The aim is to explore the YouTube file upload with the provisions of Latvian law .
To achieve the goal , the author examines , describes and analyzes the laws and regulations , specialized legal literature , internet sources and practice of material relating to the You Tube upload copyrighted interaction terms .
The first chapter deals with the You Tube General description of the activity , looking at You Tube historical development and the role of the Internet , as well as evaluating the You Tube upload the content .
The second chapter deals with You Tube " Content ID " system as an essential mechanism for regulating copyright infringement .
The third section compares the regulatory framework for copyright in the Internet environment Latvian , the United States and England.
