Maģistra darba nosaukums ir „Kriminālatbildība par kibernoziegumiem”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kas ir kibernoziegumi, kādas ir to galvenās kvalifikācijas problēmas un attiecīgi kādos gadījumos personu var saukt pie kriminālatbildības par izdarīto kibernoziegumu. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, tiek izvirzīti tādi uzdevumi kā gūt vispārīgu skatījumu par kibernoziegumiem, sniegt jēdzienu skaidrojumus, noskaidrot, kāda ir atšķirība starp kibernoziegumiem un noziedzīgiem nodarījumiem automatizētā datu apstrādes sistēmā, noteikt kibernoziegumu sastāvu, izpētīt kvalificējošās pazīmes, kas raksturo kibernoziegumus, noskaidrot, kāds ir kibernoziegumu regulējums citu valstu normatīvajos aktos salīdzinājumā ar Latvijas tiesisko regulējumu, kā arī aplūkot pieejamo tiesu praksi.
Maģistra darbs sastāv no trīs nodaļām. Pirmā nodaļa tiek veltīta kibernoziegumu jēdzienam un tā nošķiršanai no noziedzīgiem nodarījumiem automatizētā datu apstrādes sistēmā, kā arī vispārīgam kibernoziegumu raksturojumam. Otrajā nodaļā tiek analizēts kibernoziegumu sastāvs, sašaurinot apskatāmos Krimināllikumā ietvertos noziedzīgos nodarījumus, kurus varētu kvalificēt kā kibernoziegumus, līdz noziedzīgiem nodarījumiem, kas ir vērsti pret datu un datorsistēmu konfidencialitāti, integritāti un pieejamību. Savukārt, maģistra darba trešā nodaļa tiek veltīta kibernoziegumu regulējumam ārvalstīs, salīdzinot to ar Latvijas tiesisko regulējumu. Tāpat arī maģistra darba izstrādes rezultātā autore sniedz vairākus priekšlikumus par nepieciešamajiem grozījumiem Krimināllikumā.

The goal of the master thesis is to define ‘the cybercrime’, to determine the main problems associated with qualifying this as a criminal offence and to resolve under which circumstances a person may be held criminally liable. To achieve this the author does the following: gives a general overview of the cybercrime, explains the terminology, determines the difference between the cybercrime and the criminal offence in an automated data processing system, analyzes the content of the cybercrime, compares and contrasts the domestic laws and regulations with those of other countries and examines the available legal precedents.
The master thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the notion of cybercrime and to the separation of cybercrime from a criminal offence in an automated data processing systems, as well as provides a general description of cybercrime. The second chapter deals with the content of cybercrime and contrast it to other offences such as violation of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of computer data and systems. The third chapter is devoted to the laws and regulations of the cybercrime in other countries and contrasts these with Latvian legal practice. Also the author provides proposals on improving the Latvian Criminal law.
