| dc.description.abstract | ANOTĀCIJA
Darba tēma: adopcija, darba autore: Elīna Muižniece–Šoriņa.
Darbā sniegts adopcijas vispārīgs raksturojums, analizēti ar šo institūtu saistītie juridiskie jēdzieni un darbības, apkopoti viedokļi par nepilnībām, izvirzīti priekšlikumi turpmākajiem pētījumiem.
Pētījuma mērķi:
1.aplūkot adopcijas jēdzienu;
2.analizēt tiesisko regulējumu;
3.pētīt adopcijas institūtu Latvijā;
4.rast secinājumus un izvirzīt priekšlikumus.
Pētījumā secināts, ka būtisku ietekmi uz adopcijas institūtu rada cilvēktiesību aizsardzības juridiskā regulējuma pilnveidošana. Tomēr šie demokrātiskie procesi ne vienmēr nodrošina bērnu tiesību prioritāti, tādēļ nepieciešams pilnveidot attiecīgus tiesību aktus.
Darbs sastāv no piecām nodaļām, satur 42 lapas un divus pielikumus.

The thesis comprises general characteristics of adoption, analyses legal terms and activities related to this institution, highlights points of view on current deficiencies and includes proposals for possible future research.
Aims of the research:
1.overview of the concept of adoption;
2.analysis of current legal framework;
3.investigation of the state of the adoption institution in Latvia;
4.delivery of conclusions and suggestions.
The research concludes that the institution of adoption is highly impacted by improvements in the legal framework of human rights protection. Still, these democratic processes do not always ensure that children’s rights are a priority, therefore the respective legislation needs to be improved.
The thesis is comprised of 5 chapters, and includes 42 pages and 2 appendixes.
